Held in high esteem by his fellow attorneys for his successful courtroom track record, William Sterling Williams is a partner at West Palm Beach-based Lytal, Reiter, Smith, Ivey & Fronrath. Focusing his practice on personal injury and wrongful death litigation, he represents clients throughout the state of Florida. Admitted to practice in Florida since 1987, Mr. Williams is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. He has been certified as a specialist in civil trial law by the Board of Legal Specialization & Education of The Florida Bar.
Mr. Williams’s personal injury caseload has included medical malpractice, toxic torts, premises liability, maritime and airplane accidents, defective products, and motor vehicle crashes. He has been able to obtain hundreds of millions of dollars in compensation for his clients through both jury verdicts and negotiated settlements. Outside of the personal injury arena, Mr. Williams’s experience has included eminent domain proceedings, and in 2015, he won a $16 million jury award in an inverse condemnation class action, which was at the time the largest verdict in such a case in state history. These and other successes have earned him an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a “Superb” peer-review rating through Avvo.
Born and raised in Palm Beach County, Mr. Williams attended the University of Florida as an undergraduate and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1984. His legal education was obtained at Stetson University College of Law, and in 1987, he was awarded his Juris Doctor. Mr. Williams’s professional memberships include the Florida Justice Association and the invitation-only Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

- Since 2010, William has obtained verdicts and settlements in excess of One hundred and twenty million dollars and has one of the largest personal injury settlements in Florida history. Mr. Williams obtained the largest wrongful death verdict in Alachua County, Florida, at the time, and has the largest verdict in the history of Sumter County, Florida.
