Ms. Jacobson received her undergraduate degree in 1993 from Rollins College with double honors, majoring in English literature and foreign languages. She obtained her law degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 1996 and was admitted to practice in Florida the same year. She is now also allowed to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.
While in law school, Ms. Jacobson was an outstanding member of the Moot Court Board and a legal intern at the Office of the State Attorney in Orange County, Florida, where she later became the assistant state attorney. In 1999, she founded the Jacobson, Chmelir & Ferwerda law firm along with her colleagues from the Office of the State Attorney.
Ms. Jacobson understands how emotionally challenging family law cases can be and strives to guide her clients each step of the way, helping them reach solutions that work in their best interests. Be it strategic negotiation skills in family law matters or aggressive litigation in criminal defense cases, she has the relevant experience to handle both.
