Deborah Anice Pittman

Attorney Deborah Anice Pittman (formerly Swofford) is a Partner at Miles Hansford in Alpharetta, Georgia. Serving clients throughout Forsyth, Fulton, Dawson, Hall, and  surrounding counties of the northern Atlanta metro area. Ms. Pittman focuses her practice primarily on family law and divorce; however, she also has  experience with corporate law and business litigation, estate planning, criminal law and other legal areas.

As a family law attorney, Ms. Pittman has earned a reputation for delivering positive, compassionate counsel to her clients during their difficult times. Working closely with all whom she serves, she is dedicated to helping her clients protect their rights and interests during all divorce proceedings as they relate to child custody, visitation and support, property division, alimony and other related matters.

As a certified mediator, she strives to help her clients and others resolve their conflicts and find solutions for their issues without the need for court intervention; however, as a tenacious trial attorney, she will not hesitate to advocate on behalf of her clients in court when necessary to ensure the best odds of helping them achieve the favorable outcomes they expect and deserve.

A 2009 cum laude graduate of Georgia Southern University, Ms. Pittman obtained her Juris Doctor from Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law in 2012. While pursuing her legal degree, she was a member of the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society and was highly active with the Association of Women Lawyers.

The State Bar of Georgia admitted her to practice before all state courts in 2012, and she also practices before all superior courts in the state, including the Supreme Court of Georgia and the Court of Appeals of Georgia, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

Devoted to both her legal and local communities, Ms. Swofford maintains active memberships in several professional legal organizations, and she gives back to her local community through her involvement with the Rotary Club of Alpharetta, the Women's Business Alpharetta Round Table and professional women's Social network, Alpharetta and Greater North Fulton Chambers of Commerce, and the Innovation Academy Foundation Board.
