He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court.

    A leader in his field, Mr. Hipes once served as president of the North Fulton Bar Association, and he is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia and other local, state and national legal organizations. He is also highly involved in his local community, and he serves on the Alpharetta City Council as well as liaison to the Alpharetta Public Safety Department and the Alpharetta Municipal Court. 

    Mr. Hipes is also the former president of the Rotary Club of Alpharetta, and he has served on the boards of the Alpharetta Public Safety Foundation and North Fulton Community Charities. He has also served on the board and executive committee member of the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, and he is involved with various other civic organizations.
