Marcy A. Millard, the founder and lead attorney at The Millard Law Firm, is a dedicated professional committed to guiding clients in and around Alpharetta, Georgia, through the intricate and often emotional journey of family law litigation. Her practice covers aspects of family law, not restricted to divorce, mediation, family law, spousal support paternity and prenuptial agreements.
Upon completing her education, Ms. Millard started her legal career in Lawrenceville, Georgia, where she gained valuable experience in family law at a small firm. Her career progressed as she joined a midsize real estate litigation firm in Buckhead in 2006, setting the stage for the launch of her own practice a year later. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and education from The State University of New York at Potsdam, followed by a Juris Doctor from the Georgia State College of Law in 2004.
Ms. Millard's personal history with her parents’ divorce and as a mother of a special needs child not only fuels her compassion but also deepens her understanding of family dynamics. This insight is crucial in her work, especially when helping clients and their children adapt to significant changes. Her approach is tailored to lessen the emotional strain for all parties during the legal process.
Admitted to practice in several esteemed courts, including the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, Ms. Millard also has a membership in the State Bar of Georgia.
