N. Tayler Houston

N. Tayler Houston is the founding attorney of Meincke | Houston Family Law, LLC, located in Alpharetta, Georgia. Focusing exclusively on family law, he serves clients throughout Fulton, Forsyth, Gwinnett, Lumpkin, DeKalb, Cobb and additional counties beyond the Atlanta metropolitan area. He prides himself on delivering a personalized, communicative approach– he ensures that every client is well informed, supported and empowered at each stage of the legal process.

With a comprehensive family law practice, Mr. Houston handles matters ranging from divorce, child custody, alimony and child support to fathers’ rights, adoption and same-sex family law. He is known for employing bold, decisive legal strategies – aggressively advocating for clients in high-conflict disputes, yet remaining open to reasoned compromise when it best serves his clients’ objectives. 

Mr. Houston’s courtroom accomplishments include a solo jury trial victory and numerous successful bench trials, demonstrating his skill in tailoring litigation strategies and securing favorable outcomes. Beyond his advocacy in court, he places great emphasis on clear, concise written communication. He views the ability to distill complex legal ideas into straightforward language as both an essential litigation tool and the foundation of a strong attorney-client relationship.

A Tennessee native, Mr. Houston graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville in 2017 with dual bachelor’s degrees in history and political science. His undergraduate research on surveillance and national security earned publication and international citation. At Emory University School of Law, he earned his J.D. with honors in 2020, clerking for the Honorable Eleanor Ross of the Northern District of Georgia. 

During law school, Mr. Houston placed third in the Seigenthaler-Sutherland Cup National First Amendment Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C., in recognition of his advocacy and brief-writing prowess. He is admitted to practice in all Georgia state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
