Alan Hamilton is a co-founder of Atlanta, Georgia, based Shiver Hamilton, LLC, where he focuses his practice primarily on personal injury and wrongful death litigation. Admitted to practice before all Georgia state courts, Mr. Hamilton is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. In addition, he has appeared pro hac vice in other courtrooms across the country.

Mr. Hamilton represents clients throughout the greater metropolitan area who have incurred economic and noneconomic losses as a result of another party's negligence. His cases have centered on inadequate security, commercial and passenger vehicle crashes, dram shop liability, workplace accidents, and defective products. Some of the representative results that Mr. Hamilton has been able to obtain have included a $17 million verdict against Ford Motor Company after an auto products liability trial and a $29.25 million jury award in a premises liability case. His successes have led to his receipt of an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo. In addition, Mr. Hamilton has been named to both The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 and The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100, and Georgia Trend Magazine has included him in its annual Legal Elite list.

Mr. Hamilton is regularly asked to deliver presentations to groups of fellow attorneys on topics related to his practice area. His speaking engagements have included the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the Institute of Continuing Legal Education. Mr. Hamilton obtained his legal education at the University of Georgia School of Law, and upon his receipt of Juris Doctor magna cum laude in 2004, he was inducted into the Order of the Coif.
