Alyssa Maloof Whatley prides herself on honest, aggressive, and compassionate representation of her clients. From the very start of her legal career, Alyssa knew she wanted to help individuals facing financial crisis by focusing on bankruptcy and tax. Alyssa earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree from Georgia State University College of Law. While in law school Alyssa worked full time for a prominent Atlanta bankruptcy attorney, where she honed her skills and learned all aspects of the bankruptcy practice area.

During her third year in law school, Alyssa interned with United States Bankruptcy Judge the Honorable Margaret A. Murphy, where she drafted orders for matters on the docket in complex Chapter 11 litigation. After graduation, Ms. Whatley worked as a Chapter 13 Courtroom Attorney for Berry and Associates and named courtroom attorney for three federal courtrooms in the Atlanta Division. Following Berry and Associates, she joined one of the state’s top tax firms, Bomar Law Firm, LLC, where she represented taxpayers in all areas of tax litigation and was named Collections Team Lead.
