Amanda Farahany

Employment law attorney Amanda A. Farahany is a managing partner at the law firm of Barrett & Farahany, located in Atlanta and Roswell in Georgia, and Birmingham, Alabama. From her office in Atlanta, she assists employees in the surrounding regions with legal matters involving workplace discrimination, sexual harassment, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) issues, libel and false accusations, wage and overtime disputes and wrongful termination.

Ms. Farahany represents clients in cases where she can defend their best interests as well as make a societal impact. She often strives to make legal changes that help employees everywhere who are going through similar hardships as her clients. She also assists management-level employees and executives in being compliant with employment and labor laws. Her notable accomplishments include a $2.25 million verdict in a Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act case and obtaining the largest libel verdict for a single FMLA plaintiff in the state of Georgia. 

Graduating from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, Ms. Farahany earned her law degree in 1996. Licensed to practice in Georgia since 1998, she has handled several complex cases throughout her legal career and has been featured in prominent publications and news segments as a legal thought leader. She shares her knowledge with young attorneys via lectures and seminars on various employment law-related topics.

Recognized for her services to the legal community, Ms. Farahany has been honored with many accolades over the years.
