Austin's practice has concentrated primarily in the area of Divorce & Family Law, with an emphasis on high net worth and complex divorce matters. He has successfully represented over 1,000 clients in divorce and family law matters, and has tried over 300 hearings in various courtrooms throughout the state of Georgia. His clients have included professional athletes, doctors, lawyers, business executives, business owners, commissioned salesman, entrepreneurs, pilots, brokers, teachers, stay-at-home mothers and homemakers, and individuals from virtually all walks of life.
He is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia Family Law Section, the Atlanta Bar Family Law Section, and the Cobb & Gwinnett County Family Law Sections, and has been a featured author in the area of divorce and family law in various publications, including “The Family Law Review,” “The Annual Family Law CLE Handbook,” “The Judges Bulletin,” among others, as well as has been a featured speaker at various symposiums in this area. Austin has also earned various recognitions, including selected as a "Georgia Super Lawyer" by Atlanta Magazine, "Top 40 under 40 in Matrimonial Law" by National Advocates, "Top 20 under 40 in Atlanta" by ACN, among other honors. He has also been an elected Barrister in the Family Law Inns of Court (by other family law attorneys and judges) since 2014, and also holds the highest rating possible on attorney rating site AVVO.com (10 out of 10).
Prior to being a founding Partner of F&B, Austin worked as an attorney for several different prestigious local firms, including Browning & Smith in Marietta, focusing on complex Family Law litigation. Austin also previously started and chaired a Family Law practice at the mid-size firm Rutherford & Christie, as well as worked on the firm’s commercial litigation team representing various corporate clients, including ones with international presence, such as Delta Air Lines and Chick-fil-A, in various complex litigation matters. His experience also includes working as a Summer Associate for Bank of America’s Global Legal Department, an Assistant in the Family Law group at Lawler, Tanner, Zitron & Pachman, P.C., and an Assistant in business development area at Troutman Sanders.

- APPEAL: Vaughn v. Vaughn (Court of Appeals of Georgia), 365 Ga.App. 195 (2022) --- We successfully obtained a reversal, and the Court of Appeals reversed the trial court's order, and found that client did not owe various expenses and sums to wife ordered by the trial court., 2022
