Barry L. Zipperman

Barry Zipperman has been representing businesses for more than 40 years. 

He has extensive experience in the areas of business formation, structure and capitalization, lending and debt structures, contracts of all kinds, business sales, acquisitions and mergers, and resolution of conflicts among business partners and between businesses and their customers, creditors, employees and government entities.

Mr. Zipperman has represented medical care providers in Stark self-referral, anti-kickback and corporate practice of medicine issues.  In addition, his personal experience as a real estate owner and developer of commercial and residential properties in the Atlanta area since 1980 gives him a unique perspective as an entrepreneur, and expertise in representing clients in real estate-related businesses. In addition, he possesses investment and development experience in beach-related properties in Florida and Alabama.

As principal and founding partner of Davis, Zipperman, Kirschenbaum & Lotito, LLP from 1985 to September 2021, his specialties included Business and Corporate Law (60%), Business Disputes (10%), Health Care Law (15%), and Commercial Real Estate (15%). He continues to specialize in these areas as founding partner of Zipperman & Suna, LLP since September 2021.

Mr. Zipperman holds a AV Preeminent Rating for Ethical Standards and Legal Ability by Martindale-Hubbell. Prior designations include Legal Elite by Georgia Trend Magazine and Top Rated Lawyer by The American Lawyer,  Corporate Counsel, and The National Law Journal magazines.

In 1976, he was admitted to the Supreme Court of Georgia, Georgia Court of Appeals and the USDC, Northern District of Georgia; the USDC, Eastern District of Wisconsin and the US Court of Appeals, 5th Circuit in 1978; and the United States Supreme Court in 2003.
