Benjamin Bengtson

Benjamin Bengtson is the founder of the Law Office of Benjamin Obadiah Bengtson, located in Atlanta, Georgia. His practice focuses on personal injury cases such as auto accidents, trucking accidents and wrongful death cases. He primarily serves clients throughout Atlanta.

Mr. Bengtson grew up in North Dakota and California, influenced by his father, a Lutheran pastor and his grandfather, a construction worker. These early life experiences instilled in him a strong work ethic and a commitment to helping others. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army, where he served for four years in Army intelligence as an Arabic linguist. His training at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California, and subsequent service at Fort Gordon in Augusta, Georgia, helped him develop skills in analysis and discipline, which he later applied to his legal career. During his military service, he also coached gymnastics in Evans, Georgia, enhancing his abilities as a mentor.

After his honorable discharge in 1996, Mr. Bengtson pursued a bachelor’s degree in political science with a focus on international relations theory at Augusta University. His legal journey began by representing claimants in disability cases, advocating for clients before federal administrative law judges. His ability to articulate clients' medical conditions within legal frameworks laid the groundwork for his future in law.

In 2002, Mr. Bengtson attended Georgia State University College of Law, graduating near the top of his class in 2005. After passing the Georgia bar exam, he was admitted to practice in Georgia Superior Courts, the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals and federal district courts across the state. His initial legal career involved defending employers in workers' compensation claims, where he gained a thorough understanding of personal injury law.
