Brian Cunha

Brian Cunha joined Slappey & Sadd in 2011. Since that time, Brian has focused primarily on representing injured workers in Georgia Workers’ Compensation claims. Brian aggressively represents his clients’ interests in pursuing and acquiring all possible benefits available to them following life-changing injuries that occur while at work. He has extensive experience litigating all matters arising from work injuries before the State Board of Workers’ Compensation.

Brian serves on the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Compensation Claimants’ Lawyers’ Section of the Georgia Trial Lawyers’ Association, where he currently chairs the Leadership Development Committee. He also serves on the Editorial Committee for GTLA’s quarterly magazine, Verdict. As a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, Brian is the current Vice-Chair of the Atlanta Bar’s Workers’ Compensation Section. Brian has been a speaker at multiple continued legal education events, including the state-wide annual workers’ compensation seminar, and has contributed several articles to publications such as the Georgia Bar’s newsletter, Verdict magazine, and The Atlanta Lawyer.

Brian graduated cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law in 2011. While at GSU Law, Brian served on the executive committee of the Moot Court Team. He worked with Georgia State’s HeLP Clinic, assisting families with children being treated at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta with various legal issues. Brian earned a grant through Emory University to work with the Georgia Advocacy Office, a group charged with advocating on behalf of individuals with mental and developmental disabilities. Brian also interned for the Georgia Hospital Association while in law school, where he researched and presented on the impact of healthcare legislation on Georgia’s hospitals.
