Founder and managing partner of The Gibson Law Firm, LLC, Catherine Gibson represents clients in matters of real estate law and personal injury law. Her clients come from the Atlanta, Georgia, metropolitan area and include limited liability companies and small businesses, as well as individuals. Certified as a Licensed Registered Neutral/Mediator by the State of Georgia, she mediates both civil and general matters related to landlord-tenant law.
In 2011, Women Looking Ahead Magazine named Ms. Gibson the Most Influential Attorney and she is a member of the United Way VIP Alumni. Admitted to practice in both Georgia and New York, she is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, the United States District Court for the District of Georgia, the Court of Appeals of Georgia and the Supreme Court of Georgia.
Ms. Gibson is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the State Bar of Georgia, where she is active in the Real Estate Section and the Trial Section. She attended Old Dominion University and graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science, then attended law school at Emory University School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor in 2004 and was awarded the Henry Quillian prize, given for distinction in Contract and Commercial Law.
A prolific writer, Ms. Gibson has published works for the Fulton County Daily Report. Along with her personal injury and real estate experience, she has also worked in immigration law on matters of temporary protected status, work visas, the naturalization process and marriage-based residency petitions.

- The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) assumed management authority for the Federal Home Loan conservatorship that was enacted in September 2008. Fannie and Freddie are Government Sponsored Agencies and during the economic downturn, they reported losses in the tens of billions of dollars. The FHFA took over Fannie and Freddie and have made policy decisions to foreclose on homeowners beyond 12 months past due. This flies in the face of the efforts Housing and Urban Development has put forth to help homeowners keep their homes.
