Chris is the founder of Christopher B. Newbern, LLC, in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a skilled trial attorney with a nationwide litigation practice that is committed to fighting for plaintiffs and families harmed by the negligence of others. In the past five years, he has helped his clients across the country recover more than $150 Million. This includes: the largest motorcycle accident injury verdict in Georgia history ($42 Million, 2024); the largest premises liability jury verdict in the state of Georgia for 2018 ($11.25 Million); the largest jury verdict in the history of Dooly County, Georgia ($3.75 Million, 2022); and various 8-figure settlements ($19 Million; $18 Million; $15 Million; $14 Million; $12.5 Million; $11 Million; $10 Million).
Chris understands how defense lawyers and the defense industry work because he used to be an insurance defense lawyer himself. After graduating from the University of Georgia School of Law, he began his legal career at a premier defense firm in Atlanta, where he represented local and national business on behalf of some of the world's largest insurance companies. Knowing that his heart and skill set were better suited for representing victims, rather than insurers, Chris left the defense practice to join a nationally renowned plaintiff's trial firm specializing in serious personal injury and wrongful death cases.
