• $1,600,000 McGaha v Peek: bicycle on bicycle accident. Jury verdict, 2024
• $3,070,000 Davis v. H&L Distributors Inc.: food delivery truck accident, 2024
• $5.2 million 2022: Our Client v. [xxx], Case Filed – This settlement is believed to be the largest personal injury settlement ever reached in this conservative rural Georgia county. We represented a teenager who suffered a severe spinal cord injury in a lawsuit involving a farm tractor and an ATV where liability was hotly contested. We had to overcome issues of comparative negligence, competing ordinance violations, and evidence the ATV had faulty brakes. To complicate things even further, the investigating officers didn’t assign any fault. After two years of discovery, the defendant’s commercial liability insurer agreed to pay its full liability limits in return for a confidential release., 2022
• $100,000,000.00 Jury verdict in federal court: Blasingame v. Grubbs and City of Atlanta. After a two-week jury trial, a jury returned a verdict for one hundred million dollars. This is believed to be the largest jury verdict ever reached for this type of case., 2022
• $400k jury trial 2021: Our Client v. Atlanta Beverage Company and Bruce Susel, State Court of Fulton County – The highest offer that the defense ever offered our client was $150,000. We took the case to court and beat the offer by $250,000. Our client had hurt her neck in an accident but never had surgery. The defense tried painting our client as a malinger who was making things up, but we showed the jury why they should find in favor of our client and the jury did exactly that. The pandemic had shut courthouses for over a year and half, and we were one of the first jury trials back in court., 2021
• $4.0 million: Our Client v. Daiki Corporation & Ogawa, State Court of Bartow County – An out-of-country businessman visiting from Japan struck our client who was driving his motorcycle. Our client was an aspiring mixed martial arts fighter who fought for his professional living before the crash, and then fought for his recovery after the crash. After several successful surgeries, our client is back in the ring sparring and fighting., 2021
• $4.95 million 2021: Our Client v. [xxx large company] – A multi-vehicle collision left several families changed forever. We represented a husband who lost his spouse in a tragic truck accident., 2021
• $667,000 settlement in a drunk driving accident where we obtained 7 times the medical bills, 2021
• $1.0 million dollar settlement for a car accident case, 2021
• $421,500, RIDE-SHARE CAR ACCIDENT: Our Client v. [xxx national ride sharing company], State Court of Cobb County, (2020) – Recovering from a prior back surgery, our client was a backseat passenger when his driver negligently merged lanes and collided with another vehicle. The crash exacerbated his recovery., 2020
• $480,000, PORCH SWING COLLAPSE: While staying as a paying guest at an Airbnb rented lake house in Alabama, out client fell off a swing after the hook snapped. We drafted an 18-page lawsuit to file in an Alabama court naming the owner of the lake house, the retailer that sold the swing, the distributor of the swing, and Airbnb. We successfully resolved the case against the multiple defendants at a global mediation., 2020
• $700,000, WORK TRUCK ACCIDENT: Parsons v. Bravo and Clean Water Consultants Inc., State Court of Athens-Clarke County, (2019) – We deposed the driver as well as the company’s 30(b)(6) corporate representative who had conflicting testimony and after we gathered evidence from former employees to prove our theory, we resolved the case for over six and half times the medical bills., 2019
• $500,000, HAIR SALON BURN: Our Client, pre-suit settlement, (2020) – While getting hair highlights at a well-known hair salon, our young client suffered a serious scalp burn., 2020
• $615,000 Truck Accident: Our Client v. [xxx major transportation company], State Court of Athens-Clarke County, (2020) –While driving to Athens, Georgia on GA-316, our client was rear-ended by a tractor driven by a driver for a national distribution transportation company., 2020
• $975,000 award for a car accident victim who had a broken leg and only $167,000 in medical bills., 2019
• $1.5 million dollar settlement paid by 4 insurance companies for a motorcycle accident. Case settled after it was scheduled on a jury calendar., 2018
• $1.5 million dollar award for our client who only had $140,000 in medical bills, but we fought for the loss of consortium claim., 2019
• $2.95 million dollar settlement for car accident. Amount paid was $450,000 more than the insurance policy as we got the insurance company to pay for bad faith., 2018

Pro bono / Community Service

• In early 2020, we helped the parents of a young man who was killed.  The young man’s parents lived out of state and we did everything through Zoom and by email.  Despite the evidence being stacked against the young man, we managed to track down witnesses who shared testimony that conflicted with the investigating officer and established that the young man was mostly innocent. The results of our investigation meant that the car insurance had to pay the parents.  Though we did not get paid any fee for the time we spent, the feeling we experienced when we shared the good news with the young man’s parents was worth far more than any legal fee. In September 2020, we helped a young mother of five to recover from a severe crash. Despite the insurance coverage being the state’s minimum limits (i.e. $25,000), we filed a lawsuit at no cost to this young mother and we spent months litigating and then negotiating with the medical providers and lienholders. Our client ended up with enough money to pay off her medical bills, her lien holders, and keep several thousand dollars to spend on her children. Again, though we did not take any fee, we did take pride in changing this young mother’s life., 2020
• February 2021: a young single mother asked us to help her with a complicated landlord-tenant dispute. While landlord-tenant law is not something we typically handle, we wanted to help this lady who did not have the financial resources to hire a lawyer. We researched the law, conferred with colleagues, and negotiated a settlement with the apartment complex that allowed this woman to move into a new larger apartment in a different (and more upscale) complex for 1/2 the rent. There she will be able to raise her baby in a healthier, safer, and better environment., 2021
• July 2021: we resolved a car accident claim for an older friend who suffered personal and financial setbacks unrelated to this crash years ago. The setback this friend suffered years ago, really impacted his whole life. We took on his 2020 car wreck case for free. This client suffered hip and back injuries as a result of a head-on car accident that occurred in Sandy Springs in 2020. With about $50,000 of medical bills, (most of it related to the emergency room visit, physical therapy, and three injections), our client made a good recovery. We pursued the case on his behalf at no charge and resolved it for $148,500 after we filed suit and were in discovery.  We waived our fee and we also waived our expenses so that our client could keep 100% of the settlement., 2021
• January 2022: a young man came to us for help with his accident. We gathered his medical records, spoke with his doctors, sent a time-limited demand on his behalf, and negotiated with the insurance company on his behalf–all at no cost. We waived our fee and costs so that this young man could start his life with money in his pocket and no financial setbacks., 2022
• May 2022: a young teacher in an apartment complex in Sandy Springs couldn’t manage to get a single night of rest without her downstairs neighbor acting like an insane maniac.  After many months of trying to get the neighbor to behave like a normal neighbor, this young teacher came to us for help. While we don’t normally handle neighbor disputes, we did help this young teacher. After sharing the applicable code section violations with the apartment company’s legal team and drafting a lawsuit, we managed to get the situation taken care., 2022
