Darryl served as an assistant state Attorney in Miami, Fla, and an Assistant District Attorney in Atlanta, Georgia, A senior partner at Cohen, Cooper, Estep, & Allen, LLC, in Atlanta Darryl specializes in Entertainment, Criminal Defense, and Hospitality Law.  His Entertainment practice includes the representation of on/off camera personalities including high-profile nationally known Meteorologists. Darryl as a Criminal Defense attorney has included representation of defendants charged with both Misdemeanors and Felonies including, White Collar crimes, DUI, Simple Battery, Drug Possession, and Family violence.  Darryl has successfully represented numerous nationally known high-profile celebrities including recording artists. He is equally comfortable in the State or Federal Court system. He has unparalleled results speaks loudly and for themselves.

 Darryl's entertainment practice includes the representation of actors, models, photographers, talent agencies, television anchors, and production companies in both transactional and litigation matters. Mr. Cohen is a past Chairman of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) (Daytime Emmy Awards). He is a numerous-time President and the longtime Legal Committee Chair of the SE Chapter of NATAS. A voting member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences voting on the Primetime Emmy Awards. Darryl is the Chairman and co-founder of the annual offshore North American Law Summit, an Entertainment, Sports, and Intellectual Property Conference. Legal Education and networking are the focus at the conference every November.

 Darryl is seen providing on-air legal commentary both locally and nationally including Court TV, News Nation, the Nancy Grace Show, CNN, MSNBC, and local network affiliates. A past President and former National board member of the Screen Actors Guild in Georgia. He is a former Chair of both the Entertainment & Sports Law Section of the Ga Bar and of the Entertainment Arts & Sports Law Section of the Florida Bar. Darryl has been honored as a Legal Legend designated by the Fulton County Daily Report, an AV rating by Martindale & Hubble, and a Super Lawyer. He graduated from the University of Georgia with an AB degree in Political Science and received his JD degree from Mercer University. He is admitted to the Fla and Ga. He is also a member of the Cobb County, Sandy Springs Bar Assn, the Lawyers Club of Atlanta, the Florida Bar, and the State Bar of Georgia.
