David J. Hungeling

As founder of the Hungeling Rubenfield Law, Mr. Hungeling has successfully litigated high-profile cases against some of the nation's largest entities such as banks, pharmacies, insurance companies and government agencies. He accepts clients in Atlanta, Georgia; Fulton, DeKalb, Gwinnett, Cobb, Forsyth, Cherokee and Clayton counties; and throughout Kentucky, Virginia, Florida, Tennessee and North Carolina.

Mr. Hungeling focuses his practice on the following legal matters: legal malpractice, securities litigation, insurance coverage disputes, white collar criminal defense, derivative actions, storm water runoff and trespass cases, securities fraud and investment disputes, business litigation and contract disputes, probate and estate disputes, consumer product liability, litigation involving the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, tax shelter litigation, matters involving the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, covenants not to compete, commercial collections, insurance broker malpractice, professional malpractice, investment fraud, consumer class action, personal injury and negligence, shareholder litigation, federal qui tam litigation and fraudulent conveyances.

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in 1995 from the University of Notre Dame, Mr. Hungeling earned his Master of Arts in teaching from the University of Portland in 1997. Before going on to law school, he volunteered with the University of Notre Dame's Alliance for Catholic Education, teaching high school social studies in Jackson, Mississippi. He then earned his Juris Doctor in 2000 from Georgia State University College of Law, graduating magna cum laude. While in law school, Mr. Hungeling served as managing editor of the Georgia State University Law Review.

Staying active in the legal community is important to Mr. Hungeling. He holds memberships in the following organizations: the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the State Bar of Georgia, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the Lawyers Foundation of Georgia.
