As the founding partner of  Stack & Associates, P.C., Donald D.J. Stack has worked with clients throughout the entire state of Georgia for more than thirty years protecting their homes, neighborhoods and environment. He represents citizens, small businesses, neighborhoods and community groups in their efforts to comply wth environmental laws, regulations and ordinances.  He strives to protect those entities who have been harmed by the failure of others to comply with the fundamental precept that we should do unto others as we would have them do unto you.  Accordingly, he has been involved in cases that arise out of zoning issues, nuisance and trespass, water rights, the Clean Water Act, Superfund and other federal environmental statutes, coastal development, forestry, land use, air pollution, noise and odor issues, toxic torts and bad development practices.  His emphasis is on achieving pragmatic, cost effective, timely and meaningful results for his clients.

In 1975, Mr. Stack received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The State University of New York, Geneseo. After working as a lab technician and then as  a National Park Ranger including as a naturalist and a law enforcement ranger, in various Nationl Parks across the country, he attended the University of Georgia School of Law, graduating cum laude with his Juris Doctor in 1986. During law school he worked on the Chattahoochee River as a law enforcement and boat patrol ranger.

For more than 30 years Mr. Stack has worked entirely in environmental law. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and is admitted to the following courts: the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia, the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Stack is heavily involved in the legal community. He teaches classes and seminars, is the author of publications on the environment and provides pro bono services to several environmental organizations. He was named the Georgia environmental professional for 2003 and is the recipient of the Ogden Doremus Award. Mr. Stack is a member of the 2015 class of the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership.
