    After graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese history from Emory University, E. Jay Abt went on to attend the Emory University School of Law. From there, he received a Juris Doctor in 1995. As the owner of The Abt Law Firm, LLC, Mr. Abt is dedicated to serving people throughout the state of Georgia. Staying active in the legal community, he is involved with a number of professional associations including the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Illinois State Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia.

    Focusing his practice on criminal defense, Mr. Abt handles cases that include DUI, drug-related offenses, violent crimes, sex offenses, theft or robbery, weapons possession and domestic violence. For over 10 years, he has aggressively advocated on behalf of people's constitutional rights and helped them navigate the criminal justice system.
