Greg Hecht

Focusing his practice primarily on a variety of civil litigation matters, Greg Hecht is a principal attorney at Hecht Walker, P.C. Representing business and individual clients in the greater Atlanta metropolitan area and other parts of the state, he is admitted to practice before all Georgia state courts as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. Highly regarded by his colleagues for his successful track record and high-ethical standing, Mr. Hecht has received an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.

During his career, Mr. Hecht has served as lead counsel in more than 300 trials. The types of cases that he has been involved in have included landlord-tenant and other commercial real estate disputes, fraud, personal injury and wrongful death, and employment matters. Mr. Hecht has also represented builders and developers, and he has served as outside counsel for local governmental agencies. He regularly prepares and reviews employment agreements and other contracts, and his practice has also included assisting clients whose civil rights have been infringed upon in cases arising under 42 U.S.C. § 1983.

Mr. Hecht pursued his undergraduate education at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and upon his graduation in 1985, he received the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award for his service to others. He then went on to attend the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was a member of the school's Moot Court team before being awarded his Juris Doctor in 1988. Mr. Hecht's legal experience includes his service as an assistant district attorney with the Clayton County district attorney's office. He has also been a state representative and senator in the Georgia General Assembly.
