He represents the rights and interests of clients throughout the greater Atlanta metro region and surrounding areas who seek help righting a wrong they suffered as the result of someone's negligence, carelessness or unlawful actions.

A Gainesville, Georgia, native, Mr. Burns graduated from The University of The South in Sewanee, Tennessee, in 1982. Regarded as a leader in his field, Mr. Burns accepted an appointment in 2003 to serve on the State Board of Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council. He also served on the organization's Rules and Mediation Committee for 10 years before accepting an appointment to serve on the Advisory Council's Legislative Committee in 2010. That same year, Mr. Burns also accepted a nomination to serve as member of the Southern Trial Lawyers Association.

Additionally, Mr. Burns has served on the Legislative, Executive and Political Action Committees of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.
