Attorney Jacquelyn H. Saylor, who is known as Jackie, is a founding partner of The Saylor Law Firm LLP, located in Midtown Atlanta. A top-rated attorney with more than 30 years of legal experience, Ms. Saylor focuses her practice primarily on estate planning, probate and estate administration.

Ms. Saylor was appointed to the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Board of Trustees for the 2021-2024 term. She contributed significantly to the planning and execution of the following recent programs: “Professionalism for Trial Lawyers and Appellate Advocates”, for which she was able to secure Georgia Court of Appeals and Georgia Supreme Court judges for the panel; “But You Said You’re a Lawyer!? Topics Every Lawyer Should Know (a little) About,” for which she also moderated the Wills & Estates panel; and as the official facilitator of the in-person event “Modern Perspectives on Women in the Law, by Women in the Law”, in honor of Women’s History Month 2024. The CLE Director and Chair stated that it was the best program of the bar year.  This Spring, Jackie served as a volunteer attorney for DeKalb Pro Bono (formerly DeKalb Volunteer Lawyers Foundation) to assist lower-income potential estate administrators with probate issues.

Widely regarded as one of the pre-eminent female attorneys in the state, Ms. Saylor received the 2022-2023 Women Works Media Group - "Georgia's Most Powerful & Influential Women - Law and Justice Women of the Year" Award."  Additionally, she received the Legal Leaders Woman Leader in the Law Award in 2018 and the Outstanding Woman in the Profession Achievement Award from the Atlanta Bar Association Women in the Profession Section in 2016. She also holds an AV Preeminent peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell, including from the Judicial Section.  Georgia Trend Magazine named her among the state's Legal Elite for taxes, estates and trusts. She has also received numerous other awards and honors, including from Super Lawyers, for her professionalism and service.

A graduate of the University of Georgia, Ms. Saylor earned her Master of Arts in Modern European History from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She then attended Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctor in 1983. That same year, the State Bar of Georgia admitted her to practice.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Saylor has maintained an active presence in numerous local, state and national bar associations. She is the 107th President of the Atlanta Bar Association, and she is the Past Chair for the organization's Estate Planning & Probate and Small Firm/Solo Practitioner Sections, as well as Past Chair of the Women in the Profession Committee (WIP). She formerly served as Treasurer of the WIP Board and is an at-large member of the Board from 2021-2023.

A prolific writer, Ms. Saylor edits and contributes content to the Atlanta Bar Association Estate Planning & Probate Section newsletter, The Mortmain, and she serves on the editorial board for The Atlanta Lawyer, where she has edited and published numerous articles. She also conducts continuing legal education seminars and lectures across her region on a variety of legal topics.

Committed to her local community, Ms. Saylor volunteers her time and services to various civic and charitable organizations throughout the Atlanta metro region. She is a recipient of the Chief Justice Benham Community Service Award from the State Bar of Georgia. Ms. Saylor was again reappointed to the Board of Councilors of the Carter Center.
