John G. Winkenwerder

John G. Winkenwerder, Jr. is and a tireless advocate for those who have been injured by the negligence of others. Areas of practice include automobile accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability, and virtually all types of cases involving injury. 

Originally from Asheville, North Carolina, John received his Bachelor’s of Science in Business. Administration from the University of South Carolina and graduated with his Juris Doctorate from Emory University School of Law.

Earlier in his career, John worked for one of Atlanta’s most revered defense firms for several years. There, he represented numerous Fortune 500 companies against claims arising from tractor-trailer accidents, automobile accidents, professional negligence, and defective products. However, he left this position after realizing that working with individuals and their families was much more fulfilling. For the next three years, John ran the litigation department of a fast growing Atlanta personal injury firm in Atlanta, Georgia recovering millions of dollars for his clients prior to founding Winkenwerder Law, LLC.

In his spare time, John enjoys running, playing sports, and watching South Carolina football. He currently lives in Smyrna, Georgia with his wife, Jennifer, and two children, Lucienne and Tripp.
