Jon R. Erickson

Jon R. Erickson is an attorney and partner in the real estate group at Schulten Ward Turner & Weiss, LLP, in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Erickson devotes his practice to banking, commercial lending, commercial real estate and secured transactions. He works with a variety of clients, including non-profit organizations, in the Atlanta metropolitan area and throughout Georgia.

After graduating with honors from Davidson College, Mr. Erickson earned his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law. While in law school, he co-authored an article that appeared in the Wake Forest Law Review. He has been admitted to practice law in Georgia since 1984 and has several decades of legal experience, including previously serving as a shareholder at an international law firm.

In his commercial lending and real estate practices, Mr. Erickson has experience with deficiency actions, foreclosures, governmental regulations, property tax, restructuring agreements, zoning and more. He is also an approved title attorney for several title companies. In his representation of non-profit organizations, he aids and advises on public-private partnerships and other issues.

Mr. Erickson is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, Cobb Chamber of Commerce, the State Bar of Georgia and the international legal honor society Phi Delta Phi. He was listed among the “legal elite” by Georgia Trend magazine in 2013 and 2014.

Mr. Erickson has held numerous community and leadership roles, including serving as president of the Marietta Civitan Club and on the faculty of the National Center for Paralegal Studies. He is an active member of the Honorary Commanders Alumni Association.
