Jonathan E. Hawkins is the owner of Law Firm GC, which is based in Atlanta, Georgia. His practice focuses primarily on representing lawyers and law firms in their business-related legal needs. More specifically, he helps attorneys and law firm owners identify, understand, and navigate the legal, business, and ethics-related issues that stem from running a law practice. He routinely helps lawyers in drafting partnership agreements and litigating law firm breakups. He also serves as Outside General Counsel to law firms throughout the nation.
In 1999, Mr. Hawkins graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with high honors. He then went on to obtain his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he served as managing editor for the Georgia Law Review and graduated cum laude.
Building experience in the public sector, Mr. Hawkins clerked for the Honorable John F. Nangle of the United States District Court in the Southern District of Georgia before he started his practice, and he went on to serve as Legal Counsel to the Judiciary Committee of the Georgia House of Representatives in 2010. He was awarded the Martindale-Hubbell's AV-Preeminent* rating and is noted by his peers as an outstanding lawyer.
