Julia Spitler is a passionate advocate for children and families navigating the complexities of custody arrangements. Known for her empathy and innovative problem-solving skills, she excels at finding creative solutions for both financial and parenting challenges.

Julia currently serves on the board of the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers (GAWL), where she has held the role of Vice President of Public Affairs and is now the Chair of Public Affairs. A graduate of GAWL's Leadership Academy in 2023, Julia is also a mentor with the Orange Duffle Bag Initiative. In recognition of her achievements, she has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2024 and 2025.

Born and raised in the vibrant metro-Atlanta area, Julia earned dual degrees in Anthropology and Political Science from the University of Georgia before pursuing her law degree at the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she specialized in children's law. During her time in law school, Julia served as the research editor for the Journal of Law and Education, president of Women in Law, and an active member of the Pro Bono Board. She was also an inaugural participant in the Konduros Leadership Development Program.

Julia honed her skills as a clerk for a family law attorney at Gaffney, Lewis, and Edwards in Columbia, South Carolina, where she contributed to the development of a legal advocacy training program for Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands. Additionally, she volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), passionately advocating for children in state custody.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Julia enjoys exploring Atlanta's craft breweries and cheering on the Braves with friends and family. A devoted football fan, she never misses a weekend game, especially when the Dawgs are on the field. In her downtime, she loves cooking, gardening, and making memories with her loved ones.
