Kristen Wright Novay

An attorney at Garland, Samuel & Loeb, P.C., in Atlanta, Georgia. Kristen Wright Novay provides criminal defense representation to clients throughout Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb and Gwinnett counties and other parts of the state. The types of federal and state misdemeanor and felony charges that her clients have faced have included drug possession and trafficking, rape and other sex crimes, weapons violations, white collar crimes, fraud, theft, assault and domestic violence.

Ms. Novay attended Auburn University as an undergraduate and received a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in 2005. She then went on to enroll at the University of Richmond School of Law for her legal education. While she was in law school, Ms. Novay participated in several competitions, and she was a national semifinalist in the Student Trial Advocacy Competition held each year by the American Association for Justice. She also gained criminal law experience through various internships, including one with the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, and another with the Metropolitan Nashville's Public Defender’s Office. Ms. Novay was awarded her Juris Doctor cum laude in 2009, and upon her graduation she was inducted into the Order of The Barristers. She was an associate with an Richmond criminal defense firm before leaving in 2010 to join Garland, Samuel & Loeb, P.C.

Ms. Novay is admitted to practice in Georgia, Virginia and the District of Columbia. She is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 4th and 11th Circuits, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
