Kristin Barnhart

A committed advocate for her clients, Kristin Barnhart is an esteemed attorney focusing her practice in and around the Atlanta metropolitan area in Georgia. As the founding partner at Barnhart Family Law, she handles a variety of family law matters, including child custody and visitation, divorce and alimony, and works tirelessly to achieve favorable outcomes for her client base, keeping their best interests in mind.

Ms. Barnhart attended Sewanee: The University of the South as an undergraduate, receiving her Bachelor of Arts in economics in 2006. She then pursued her legal studies at Charleston School of Law. While there, she was actively involved in the school's Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Society and also worked with the Homeless Justice Project of Crisis Ministries. She was awarded her Juris Doctor in 2012.

Providing committed and individualized legal services to the people of Georgia for more than a decade, Ms. Barnhart has memberships in several professional legal associations, including:

• Georgia Association for Women Lawyers
• Sandy Springs Bar Association

She also extends her services for the benefit of society by actively participation in the activities of community-oriented organizations, such as the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation. Additionally trained as guardian ad litem, she has taken on several complex cases where she represented those unable to take care of themselves.

Admitted to practice before all Georgia state courts, Ms. Barnhart has received numerous awards and accolades. In addition to being honored as one of Georgia’s Outstanding Young Lawyers by The American Registry, she has been recognized as a Legal Elite by Georgia Trend Magazine and has been listed in The National Advocates: Top 40 Under 40. She was also a multiple-time recipient of the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys’ 10 Best Family Law Attorneys for Client Satisfaction Award.
