Lance D. Lourie

As a partner at Watkins Lourie Roll & Chance, PC, Lance D. Lourie is dedicated to serving clients throughout the state of Georgia. He focuses his area of practice on medical malpractice and personal injury claims.

Mr. Lourie graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University in 1982. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1985. While in law school, Mr. Lourie was a member of the school's national moot court team; he participated on the University of South Carolina School of Law's Moot Court Bar; and he served on the South Carolina Law Review.

Prior to joining Watkins Lourie Roll & Chance, PC, Mr. Lourie primarily handled general liability and medical malpractice defense cases, developing a strong background in cases involving state liability, as well as gynecological and obstetrical cases. The time he spent representing doctors and the state provided him with invaluable experience, which he now uses to zealously fight for the rights of clients who have been injured by the negligence of another.

Beyond his work in the courtroom, staying active in the legal community is also a priority for Mr. Lourie. He is a member of several organizations, including the American Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia. Mr. Lourie is also a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and is currently serving as the vice president at large. He has given lectures on topics relating to general liability cases, medical malpractice cases, trial tactics and other personal injury litigation issues at numerous continuing legal education seminars.
