Details
Lindsay A. Forlines is a seasoned attorney who currently focuses on representing individuals and families impacted by medical malpractice and catastrophic damages, including wrongful death. Serving as a partner at Chance, Forlines, Carter & King, PC, working out of their branch in Atlanta, Georgia, she caters to the requirements of her clients statewide.
Ms. Forlines’ journey in the legal field began with a notable tenure at her prior firm, where she served as a partner until 2019. During her time there, she represented numerous corporate and individual defendants in medical negligence and wrongful death cases. This experience provided her with a deep understanding of the defense strategies employed in such cases, the processes of risk management teams and the evaluation criteria used by insurance carriers.
Graduating magna cum laude from the University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia, in 2003 with a degree in journalism, Ms. Forlines centered her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. During her undergraduate years, she anchored Georgia Gameday, an award-winning collegiate television show. She then pursued a legal education at the University of Georgia School of Law, graduating in 2008. Her law school career was marked by her role as chairperson of the mock trial team and her selection to the Joseph Henry Lumpkin Inn of Court. Among her proudest accomplishments was receiving the Willis J. “Dick” Richardson Jr. Student Award for outstanding trial advocacy.
In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Forlines has been actively involved in her community. From 2012 to 2016, she acted as an elected official on the Avondale Estates Board of Mayor and Commissioners. In 2013, she also held the position of president of the DeKalb County Municipal Association. Her commitment to legal education and professional development is evident through her role as a repeat featured speaker and panelist at various events. Currently, she is one of the co-chairs for the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association’s Education Committee for the 2023-2024 term.
