    Attorney Profile

Attorney Marcus G. Keegan is the principal at the Keegan Law Firm in Atlanta, Georgia, where he focuses his practice on employment law litigation, general civil litigation and small business employment representation.

A 1995 cum laude graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in criminology, Mr. Keegan served as an adult probation officer in Phoenix, Arizona. During this time, he received his certification as a mediator and handled numerous cases before the Maricopa County Justice Courts. He also sat on the Arizona Supreme Court Mediator Certification Standards Subcommittee.

An Atlanta native, Mr. Keegan returned to his hometown in 1999 to attend Emory University School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 2002. The State Bar of Georgia admitted him to practice that same year.

Mr. Keegan then served as a trial attorney for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission at the Atlanta district office, gaining invaluable experience and insight into employment discrimination claims and other serious employment law violations. He then entered private practice and received certification as a mediator in the state of Georgia in 2012, and he serves as a registered neutral with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution.

Recognized as one of the top employment law attorneys in the country, Mr. Keegan has received numerous awards and honors for his professionalism and service. He also holds an AV Preeminent peer review rating* from Martindale-Hubbell.

Active in his legal community, he is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the National Employment Lawyers Association. He also conducts lectures on various topics related to employment law throughout the country.
