Marilyn L. Bardie-Kapaun

FORBES selected Marilyn Bardie Kapaun as one of its “Top 10 Divorce Attorneys in Atlanta." Marilyn is a Partner in the Family Law group at Bovis, Kyle, Burch & Medlin, LLC, based in Atlanta, Georgia. She focuses her practice on family law, representing clients who are navigating complex legal matters such as divorce, modifications of child custody, modification of child support, modifications of alimony, legitimation, paternity, contempts, adoptions, and more. With a career spanning more than three decades, she brings extensive legal knowledge and a thoughtful, personal approach to helping clients address their family-related disputes and challenges.

Ms. Bardie-Kapaun works closely with clients to understand their individual circumstances and develop legal strategies tailored to their needs. Her practice reflects a commitment to providing informed guidance throughout the legal process while helping clients understand their rights, responsibilities, and available legal options. Ms. Bardie-Kapaun earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois in 1988. She obtained her J.D. at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 1991 where she also won two Fellowships, one for academic achievement and one for excellence in writing. She been in practice in Georgia since1992.

Ms. Bardie-Kapaun is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia Family Law Section. She has taught Criminal Law since 2005 at Georgia State University’s Criminal Justice Department where she was awarded “Outstanding Instructor of the Year.”

Ms. Bardie-Kapaun enjoys languages with proficiency in Spanish and French, and conversational Italian.
