A highly regarded civil trial attorney, Matthew F. Totten is the managing attorney at The Totten Firm. Based in Dunwoody, Georgia, he provides representation to his individual and business clients in the greater Atlanta metropolitan area and across the state.
Mr. Totten is an experienced real estate litigator, regularly handling title disputes as well as lien priorities. He also handles evictions and other landlord-tenant matters, including representing several national property management companies. Mr. Totten also handles foreclosure litigation on behalf of lenders and mortgage service companies, and his experience includes the representation of creditors in consumer and business bankruptcy proceedings.
A native of Georgia, Mr. Totten attended the C. Herman and Mary Virginia Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration cum laude in 2007. After working as a financial analyst for two different companies, he subsequently attended the University of South Carolina School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Totten was the managing editor of the South Carolina Journal of International Law and Business and served two summer clerkships before being awarded his Juris Doctor in 2013. Prior to establishing The Totten Firm, Mr. Totten was an attorney with two prominent metro Atlanta real estate and litigation law firms.
