Michael E. Gumprecht is the founding attorney of The Gumprecht Law Firm, with offices in Atlanta and Kennesaw. He represents people who have been seriously injured, and families who have lost a loved one, in car, truck, motorcycle, pedestrian, bicycle, rideshare, and drunk driving crashes, as well as burn injury, premises liability, negligent security, and wrongful death cases across metro Atlanta, including Alpharetta, Marietta, Sandy Springs, and Fulton, Cobb, Gwinnett, and DeKalb counties, and throughout Georgia. His clients have recovered over $100 million, including a $45 million settlement for the family of a person killed in a commercial truck crash and several other seven-figure results.
Mr. Gumprecht began his career at a small general practice firm outside Atlanta and later narrowed his practice to representing injured people. Earlier, he worked as a data center facility engineer at LexisNexis, and that technical background helps when a case turns on phone records, vehicle data, or video. His published appellate decisions include Envision Printing, LLC v. Evans, 336 Ga. App. 635 (2016), and Guzman v. Link, 354 Ga. App. 463 (2020), a wrongful death appeal.
He is a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum and was named to Georgia Trend magazine's Legal Elite. He is licensed in Georgia and New York and admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He earned his bachelor's degree from Cedarville University and his law degree from Liberty University School of Law. He is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the State Bar of Georgia, and the American Bar Association.
