Details
Miguel A. Dominguez focuses his practice primarily on personal injury, wrongful death litigation, and civil rights violations. Representing clients throughout the greater metropolitan area, he is admitted to practice before all Georgia state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Georgia, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
A significant portion of Mr. Dominguez's clients are people who have incurred economic and noneconomic losses due to the negligence or recklessness of other parties. The types of cases that he has handled on their behalf have included motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and civil rights and he has been able to obtain significant compensation through both jury awards and negotiated settlements. His civil rights matters have involved police brutality, malicious prosecution and wrongful death, and his track record in this area has been equally impressive.
Mr. Dominguez majored in psychology at the University at Buffalo and received a Bachelor of Arts in 2001. After he graduated, he was a social worker at an Atlanta nonprofit organization, providing case management services for homeless and mentally ill clients. Mr. Dominguez then received his Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Thereafter, he was law clerk at the Georgia Court of Appeals, an assistant district attorney in Rockdale and Clayton Counties and an assistant to the DeKalb County Solicitor-General before entering private practice as civil defense counsel and later as personal injury attorney. Mr. Dominguez was a partner at the Morgan & Morgan firm and now is the founder of the Dominguez Law Firm.
