Mike Prieto

Attorney Michael A. Prieto is a partner at the highly respected Atlanta law firm of Prieto, Marigliano & Prieto, LLC. After joining the firm, Mr. Prieto established the nursing home negligence practice, and he has since devoted his career to assisting the victims of nursing home abuse and negligence and the families who have lost loved ones to negligent caregivers. Today, thanks to his record of success, which includes millions in compensation for victims and families, he is regarded as one of Georgia's leading attorneys.

Mr. Prieto began his legal career in 1998 after earning his law degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and his admission to the State Bar of Georgia. In addition to his approval to practice law in all of Georgia's state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit have also issued their approvals for him to practice in their courtrooms.

Thanks to Mr. Prieto's dedication to protecting the rights of the elderly and disabled, he has built a reputation for excellence, which has led to numerous honors. His cases have been featured in numerous national newspapers and television programs, including The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, and has appeared on Good Morning America, CNN, The Today Show and The Oprah Winfrey television broadcast.

Mr. Prieto is not only a dedicated client advocate but also an active member of the legal community. He is a member of numerous associations, including the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (Immediate Past-President), where he serves as chair of the Nursing Home Litigation Group.  He is a member of the Board of Governors for the State Bar of Georgia, and serves a member of the Board of Governors for The American Association for Justice.

Mr. Prieto has also served our country in the U.S. Army for the past 35 years. He has deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq and is currently serves as the Deputy State Judge Advocate for the Georgia Army National Guard.
