Nola D. Jackson brings a wealth of courtroom experience to Werner Law, LLC, in Atlanta, Georgia, where she champions the rights of individuals who have suffered personal injuries. She handles all areas of personal injury and products liability, with a focus on catastrophic injuries such as major car and motorcycle accidents, amputations, brain injuries, tire failure incidents, defective vehicles, premises liability, negligent security and more. Over the course of her career, she has secured significant verdicts by blending a pragmatic approach with persuasive advocacy.
Admitted to practice before the Georgia Court of Appeals and Supreme Court, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Georgia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the United States Supreme Court, Ms. Jackson consistently guides clients through complex legal proceedings. Her ability to connect with jurors and maintain focus under pressure has produced favorable outcomes time and again.
Ms. Jackson’s legal journey began upon graduation from Georgia State University College of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor. In her early years, she served as a clerk to senior judges in Fulton County and later to two justices of the Georgia Supreme Court. This formative period provided her with deep insight into judicial reasoning and courtroom dynamics, shaping the meticulous preparation she applies to every matter.
Ms. Jackson went on to join a national defense firm as partner, representing some of the nation’s largest insurance carriers in civil litigation. There, she acquired a thorough understanding of how insurers assess claims, interpret policy language and deploy defense strategies. Although her tenure yielded considerable success, her growing inclination to advocate for those harmed by negligence led her to embrace plaintiff-side work. At Werner Law, LLC, she leverages her insider’s perspective to anticipate opposing arguments and counter them effectively, providing her clients with a clear advantage.
Outside the courtroom, Ms. Jackson is a devoted wife of more than 25 years and a mother of two, roles that inform her compassionate approach to client service. She treats each individual as she would a member of her own household, ensuring open lines of communication and a genuine understanding of how an injury can reverberate through a family. Her clients appreciate the personalized attention as much as her tenacious courtroom presence.
Rated “10.0” on Avvo, Ms. Jackson remains committed to delivering results that matter. Whether negotiating a favorable settlement or taking a matter to trial, she navigates every stage with diligence and care. Her record speaks for itself, but it is her steadfast dedication to justice and her clients’ well-being that truly defines her practice.

Verdicts / Settlements (Case Results)
- $1 million, Automobile v. Tractor Trailer - Discectomy: Our client was rear ended by the tractor trailer as she was stopping for slowing traffic ahead of her. The damage was minimal to her vehicle and she did not go to the hospital for a few days thinking it was just a pulled muscle and it would heal. Unfortunately, it did not heal and after treating with epidurals and other injections, she ultimately required a microdiscectomy. We litigated for two years and settled for the $1,000,000 policy limits.
- $2.5 million, Rear end Collision with a Tractor Trailer: Our client was in front of a vehicle that was rear ended and then pushed into his vehicle. While the damage was minimal, he later required a spinal fusion. This was litigated very hard by the insurance company because prior to this wreck, a surgeon said he would need spinal surgery. Once in litigation, it was determined that this wreck required him to have the surgery sooner. He also required two knee surgeries from hitting the dashboard of the car. In the end, we came to an amicable resolution and our client was very happy.
- $2.5 million, Spinal Fusion: Our client was traveling on 285 when traffic began backing up. Our client stopped and a tractor trailer, whose driver was not paying attention, hit our clients bumper. While the damage to the vehicle was minimal and she did not complain of pain for a few days, she later required a cervical fusion. The Defendants’ insurance company fought hard, but in the end, settled for the amount we demanded.
- $4.5 million, Spinal Fusion: Our client was riding a scooter when he was rear ended by a construction vehicle. He went to the emergency room with shoulder and neck pain. After several weeks and the pain continuing, he went to an orthopedic surgeon who treated his pain conservatively. Unfortunately, he ultimately required surgery for his shoulder and cervical spine. The case settled about two weeks prior to trial.
- $4.5 million, Brain Injury (Mild TBI): Our client was T-boned by a commercial vehicle. She went to the hospital with facial fractures and a concussion. As she healed, it became evident that she suffered a traumatic brain injury. Prior to filing suit, we negotiated, but the highest offer was $700,000. We filed suit and came to a resolution of 4.5M.
- $10 million, Wrongful death case - hit by a Tractor Trailer: Our Client was rear ended in a tractor trailer while traveling on I-16. He died on the scene. On behalf of the family, we began negotiating in hopes to avoid a lawsuit. However, when it became evident that the trucking company was never going to pay, we filed a lawsuit. In the end, we settled for just over 10M and the family was very happy.
- $8 million, Tractor Trailer case with Acetabular/Pelvic Fractures: Our client was riding a motorcycle on I-85 when a tractor trailer merged onto the highway knocking her off her bike. Initially, Defendants insurance company only offered $600,000 (Whatever it was). We filed a lawsuit on behalf of our client and in less than a year, we came to a settlement of $8,000,000.
- $12 million, Our client was riding a motorcycle through an intersection when a truck pulled out in front of him. Our client swerved to avoid the collision, but unfortunately, the bumper of the truck struck his lower leg and his leg could not be saved. The commercial vehicle had a stop sign and claimed he never saw our client and that our client must have been speeding. After two years of litigation, the truck driver’s company and truck driver admitted liability.
- $3.8 million, The Defendant was driving to a worksite for his employer. He attempted to pass a slower moving vehicle and struck our client head-on. She suffered multiple injuries including two broken ankles. We settled the day before trial.
- $2.8 million, Broken Ankle: Our client had been out drinking and climbed into the back to an SUV not realizing the driver had been drinking as well. When the driver flipped the vehicle our client suffered a broken ankle. When we tried to make a claim, the insurance company refused stating that he assumed the risk when he got in the back of the truck. The jury believed otherwise and awarded our client $2,800,000.
- $4.9 million, Broken ankle: Defendant lost control of her car, struck one car, bounced off and then hit our client head-on. We settled the case for $4,900,000 prior to filing a lawsuit.
- $1 million, TOE AMPUTATION CASE: Client had half his second toe amputated in a forklift accident. We navigated around the worker’s compensation bar, contributory negligence and disputed liability. Highest settlement for losing only half a toe
- $650,000, Broken Finger: Highest verdict or settlement for a broken finger in the State of Georgia if not the country. Plaintiff was involved in a collision and broken his fourth finger. There was only $100,000 of insurance and the insurance company refused to pay it. After litigation, the insurance company paid well over their policy limits in order to avoid a trial.
- $5.6 million, Acetabular Fracture: Woman was driving in rural Georgia on a two lane highway when an approaching tractor trailer lost control of his truck and went off the road to his right. He then re-corrected and slammed into our client who suffered from an acetabular fracture.
- $8.6 million, Motorcycle Accident: Our Client was riding a motorcycle when an emergency vehicle pulled out in front of him failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign. Defense claimed that our Client was speeding. The top offer before trial was $2,000,000 and we were told in this venue, it would be impossible to receive a verdict higher than that offer. We won an $8,600,000 verdict.
- $12 million, BRAIN INJURY: When our client sustained a severe brain injury after a Conway Tractor Trailer slammed into his vehicle, the trucking company blamed our driver. Even the witnesses blamed our driver. However, the physical evidence did not support their stories, so we went to work. Through experts and reconstruction, we were able to prove that the Conway Truck ran a red light causing the collision. Top offer prior to trial: $125,000 to settle. We received a verdict of $11.7 million.
- $2.15 million, Motorcycle accident: Our Client suffered lower leg fractures. Our client was coming around a curve and an oncoming car hit him. Defense claimed the motorcycle was in his lane and that he was speeding. The Jury awarded us $2,150,000. There was only $50,000 of insurance and the insurance company paid extra-contractual funds after the verdict.
- $7 million, Spinal Fusion: Our clients’ vehicle ran out of gas. Clients pulled (partially) off the road and turned on their hazards, but a tractor trailer failed to see the broken down vehicle and slammed into it.
- $10 million, Orthopedic Injuries: Defendant crossed the double yellow line hitting our client, who was riding a motorcycle. It was later discovered that the Defendant was DUI. Our client spent over one month at Southern Regional Hospital where she required multiple surgeries.
- $13 million, WRONGFUL DEATH: Husband and wife were driving on the interstate when they were slammed from behind by another vehicle trying to pass. Fortunately, the husband was uninjured, but his wife went to the hospital with serious injuries and later died.
- $11 million, Trucking Wreck: Our client was attempting to turn left when a tractor-trailer struck him. The Truck company and driver said that our client ran a red light and that they had the right-of-way. The question was who had the right of way at the intersection, the truck going straight or our client turning left? The jury agreed with us, the truck driver ran the red light.
- $15 million, ORTHOPEDIC INJURIES: Tractor Trailer driving on GA 316 turned left in front of our client who was going straight. Our client suffered multiple orthopedic injuries, including a broken leg and two broken ankles. She also required multiple surgeries in the past and future. We received a verdict of just over $15 million.
- $21 million, AMPUTATION CASE: A truck ran a red light hitting our client. At the scene, the truck driver blamed our client for running the light. We quickly proved he was lying after filing suit and litigating. Once we proved the Defendant was at fault for causing the wreck, Defense claimed the traffic light was malfunctioning. Ultimately, we won the case.
- $21 million, TRUCKING WRECK: Tractor Trailer T-boned our client at an intersection who suffered multiple orthopedic and internal injuries. During litigation, client underwent multiple surgeries to treat his internal injuries and ultimately ended up with a colostomy. Tractor Trailer driver and company admitted fault, but disputed damages. We proved our case by using Plaintiff’s treating general surgeon as our expert.
- $51.7 million, AMPUTATION CASE: Largest Amputation Settlement in the State of Georgia, if not the Country. Plaintiff was fixing a broken down vehicle on the side of the road when a commercial vehicle driver who had been driving over hours and ignoring the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations veered out of the right lane, entered the shoulder striking our client.
