Paul L. Fields, Jr., is a partner at Fields Howell LLP in Atlanta, Georgia. Providing representation to insurance companies across the country and worldwide, he is the head of the firm's first-party property group and handles a variety of general liability matters in cases relating to aviation crashes, hurricane damage, motor carrier accidents, and environmental damage, among other issues. His clients include participants in the London Insurance Market, which is a group of insurance and reinsurance companies and Lloyd's of London syndicates.

Mr. Fields has extensive arbitration experience, and he has tried dozens of complex cases to verdict. He has also been lead counsel in several class-action lawsuits, and he has been successful in many of his appeals, obtaining reversals of trial court decisions. As an undergraduate, Mr. Fields attended Wake Forest University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in 1985. He then enrolled at the University of Georgia School of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctor cum laude in 1988. Before joining Fields Howell LLP in 2004, Mr. Fields was an attorney at two prominent international law firms. Admitted to practice before all Georgia state courts, he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

Mr. Fields is frequently asked to deliver presentations to and conduct training sessions for Lloyd's of London syndicate members. He is an active participant in several professional groups, including the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, the Loss Executives Association, and the Atlanta Bar Association.
