Rebecca Kirkland Halberg

Rebecca Halberg handles workers' compensation cases on behalf of injured workers throughout Georgia. She is passionate about securing the money necessary for the injured to obtain proper medical care, replace lost wages and account for permanent disability.

Insurance companies often try to delay or deny paying injured workers. Ms. Halberg has significant experience negotiating with and battling these providers in order to help people secure the benefits owed to them. At the start of her career, she actually represented insurance companies and employers involved in workers' compensation matters. She knows exactly how every aspect of the process works and the tactics these entities use when attempting to shortchange employees.

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Ms. Halberg went on to earn a Juris Doctor in 2006 from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Ms. Halberg is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association's Workers Compensation Section, the State Bar of Georgia and the State Bar of Georgia. During her time in South Carolina, she served as president of Kids' Chance of South Carolina, which is a non-profit organization that provided scholarships to children of workers who were injured or killed while on the job.  She was recently elected as the vice president of Kids' Chance of Georgia.

Today, Ms. Halberg has earned honors that include holding an Avvo "Superb" rating. This is due not only to her proven track record of success, but also because of how compassionate she is to people when they need support the most.
