Roderick E. Edmond, M.D.

Well-renowned throughout the United States for his work in medical malpractice, wrongful death, catastrophic personal injury, premises and product liability, and general civil litigation, Roderick E. Edmond, M.D, J.D.., has always pursued cases in the hopes of providing his clients with the monetary relief they deserve to start anew.

Through Edmond & Lindsay, LLP, in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Edmond has secured over $300 million in verdicts and/or settlements for his clients. He has had the opportunity to serve clients in many different states. Such was the case when he procured one of the largest settlements in the history of South Carolina – a case of delayed diagnosis of a rare heart condition. He also secured an eight-figure settlement against a real estate developer that discriminated against certain minority groups, and a $5 million jury verdict for a medical malpractice case in Georgia.

Dr. Edmond studied biology at Morehouse College, graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree in 1983. He received his M.D. from Duke University Medical School, later completing his post-graduate training in general surgery from the William Beaumont Army Medical Center. He served in the United States Army for five years, and later as a brigade surgeon for the 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division on the demilitarized zone in the Republic of Korea.

Dr. Edmond served as a staff physician in the Pentagon, where he attended to patients during the day and attended law school during the night. Persevering through it all, he earned his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center in 1993. He later served as a medical director to a large Atlanta jail, providing quality medical care to the inmate population. He started his law firm in 2003, and straight away settled a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against a corporation that provided defective biomedical products to a patient.
