Whitney D. Mauk

Whitney D. Mauk is the sole practitioner for Whitney D. Mauk, PC, representing people who live in the Atlanta, Georgia, metro area. Her practice focuses entirely on family law, handling cases that include the following matters: child support, divorce, paternity, prenuptial/postnuptial agreements, child custody, modifications, legitimation and contempt issues. The majority of her cases involve high asset divorce.

In 1999, Ms. Mauk received her Juris Doctor from Indiana University Maurer School of Law and was admitted to practice law in Indiana. As a trial lawyer in Indianapolis, Indiana, she worked in a number of litigation areas, including family law. She settled on family law as her focus in 2005. Ms. Mauk relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, and worked for top family law firms in the city before deciding to open her own practice on January 1, 2013.

Compassionate advocacy is important to Ms. Mauk and she is dedicated in providing her clients with the best litigation representation possible, while encouraging clients to embrace negotiation when appropriate. She educates her clients on division of property, alimony, child support, child custody and visitation so that they may make the best strategy decisions for their case.  

Ms. Mauk is active in the legal community.  She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Bar Association, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and Georgia Association of Women Lawyers.  For the last several years, Ms. Mauk has actively served on the State Bar of Georgia's Board of Governors. She holds memberships in The Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Law American Inn of Court and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta.
