A 1995 graduate of Emory University, Mr. Rountree obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida's Levin College of Law in 1999. He then served as legal clerk to the Honorable Steven H. Friedman of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida. Upon receiving his license to practice, Mr. Rountree worked for more than 17 years at one of Atlanta's premier bankruptcy firms, where he gained invaluable experience handling insolvency cases.

While in law school, Mr. Rountree served on the editorial board for the Journal of Law and Public Policy, and he has since published numerous articles in various journals, newsletters and other publications. He also routinely conducts lectures and seminars across his region on a variety of topics related to bankruptcy law. Further solidifying his position as a leader in his field, Mr. Rountree has served on the Atlanta Bar Association's Continuing Legal Education Board of Trustees and currently serves on the Atlanta Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Section Board of Trustees.

Recognized for his impeccable professionalism and exceptional legal abilities, Mr. Rountree has earned many awards and honors throughout his career, including a designation from Georgia Trend Magazine as a "Legal Elite."
