Attorney Profile

William C. Head of William C. Head, P.C., in Atlanta, Georgia, is a litigation attorney, criminal and civil. Mr. Head represents clients throughout the Atlanta area, in surrounding counties, but also travels to all parts of Georgia.

Mr. Head earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Georgia, graduating with honors. He later obtained his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law and has been admitted to practice in Georgia since 1976. He has represented clients in over 100 Georgia counties, and at least 150 municipal courts. He also has handled contested cases in North Carolina, Michigan and California. In addition, he has taught and has attended forensic science training courses, such as the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, the International Council for Drugs and Alcohol Training (http://www.icadtsinternational.com), the Borkenstein Alcohol Course, to further his knowledge of the effects of alcohol and drugs on the human body. 

Throughout his more than 42 years of practice, Mr. Head has shared his knowledge on legal topics, trial practice and legal marketing by authoring and co-authoring several articles and writing books. He has also spoken on criminal law, civil litigation and DUI defense topics at many conferences and seminars, including judges’ seminars and two American Bar Association judges’ conferences.

Along with his law practice, Mr. Head is a member of several local and national professional organizations. Just some of these organizations include the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, Georgia Defense of Drinking Drivers Institute, the American Association for Justice, the American Academy of Forensic Science, the International Association for Chemical Testing and the International Council on Alcohol, Drugs and Traffic Safety.

Mr. Head is a Champion member with GTLA, and a lifetime member of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He also helped form and is actively involved with the National College of DUI Defense and Defense of Drinking Drivers organization.
