Ashley T. Carlile has dedicated her career to helping families navigate sensitive and often high-stakes legal challenges. Based in North Georgia, she represents clients through Carlile & Side, P.C., in divorce, custody disputes, juvenile law and criminal defense, handling each matter with equal parts persistence and compassion. Her work is defined by a focus on practical solutions and a steady commitment to protecting her clients’ rights.
A Canton native, Ms. Carlile completed her undergraduate studies at Kennesaw State University before earning her law degree at Western Michigan University–Cooley Law School. During her time in law school, she excelled in advocacy and leadership, experiences that set the foundation for her courtroom skills. After admission to the bar, she began her career representing the Department of Family and Children Services, where she gained critical perspective on child welfare and family law issues.
Today, Ms. Carlile’s practice centers on complex family law matters, including contested custody, protective orders, high-asset divorces and DFCS-related cases. She also serves as a guardian ad litem, ensuring the well-being of children is prioritized in contentious custody proceedings, and is a registered mediator who guides families through alternative dispute resolution when possible.
Ms. Carlile’s contributions extend beyond her law practice. She has held leadership roles with the Blue Ridge Bar Association and was recognized among the “Top 10 in 10 Young Professionals Under 40” by the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce. Her professional excellence has also been acknowledged by her peers through repeated honors in the legal field.
Whether in the courtroom or at the mediation table, Ms. Carlile brings measured judgment, strong advocacy and a client-centered approach to every case. She is deeply committed to ensuring that families facing difficult transitions have both a powerful advocate and a trusted adviser by their side.
