Graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in economics and accounting from Mercer University in 2009, Mr. Geiger went on to pursue his legal studies at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in Denver, Colorado. Earning his law degree in 2013, Mr. Geiger is license to practice in both Georgia and Colorado as well as Federal District and appellate courts in the 10th and 11th Circuits.
During law school, Mr. Geiger was a member of the university’s national trial team; he participated and came second in the AAJ National Trial Advocacy competition. He also served as a student attorney at the civil litigation clinic, working on various aspects of civil trial discovery. He then joined a law firm in Golden, Colorado, as a law clerk, assisting in construction defect litigation cases.
After graduating, Mr. Geiger joined the national law firm of Burg Simpson Eldredge Hersh and Jardine, P.C. where he represented clients with catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims from defective products, medical malpractice, trucking accidents, and automobile accidents. Mr. Geiger also participated in several multi-district litigation (MDL) claims from defective products and drugs including the Yaz/Yasmin MDL and several metal-on-metal hip implant cases.
Since forming Geiger Legal Group, LLC in 2017, Mr. Geiger has a successful record of handling complex personal injury cases, winning millions of dollars in settlements for his clients. Throughout his legal career, he has represented individuals who suffered injuries from motor vehicle accidents, malpractice, defective products, and other injuries caused by the negligence of others. - $1.25 Million - Motor Vehicle AccidentOur client was an 18-year-old passenger in a pick-up truck driving down a dirt road. The driver lost control of the truck, swerved, and crashed head-first into a tree. Our client suffered horrific injuries, including a spiral fracture to his leg, a fractured knee cap, and lacerations across his head. He was knocked unconscious and pulled from the vehicle just before it burst into flames and was life-flighted to Grady hospital. Through our firm's help, we were able to recover the maximum amount of insurance coverage available. , 2022
- $650,000 - Motor Vehicle AccidentOur client was driving his pick-up truck in Douglas County, Georgia when a commercial truck ran through a stop sign and t-boned his vehicle off the road and into a ditch. The impact caused serious injuries to his neck, and ultimately resulted in him having a cervical fusion surgery. The at-fault insurance claimed that our client injuries were not related as he was an older gentleman who performed manual labor all of his life and had degeneration throughout his neck. We were able to obtain doctor testimony that refuted these claims and get the case resolved. , 2022
- $615,000 - Motor Vehicle Accident In 2020, our client was sitting at a red-light just outside the Bridge Mill subdivision in Canton, GA when she noticed an ambulance driving down Bells Ferry road in the opposite direction from her. The ambulance approached the intersection facing a red light. At that same time, another Hyundai sedan was exiting the subdivision on a green light. The ambulance failed to slow or stop to confirm he could proceed forward into the intersection through the red light and the Hyundai t-boned the ambulance as it passed through the intersection. The impact caused the 10,000 lb ambulance to drift left where it struck my client's vehicle head-on at an estimated 30 mph. We brought claims against both the ambulance and Hyundai. We resolved the case just prior to trial. , 2021
- $500,000 - Pedestrian / Vehicle Injury On one sunny day in 2018, our client went for a stroll in his neighborhood. The neighborhood did not contain sidewalks, so he walked on the left-hand side of the road near the drain line. While walking, a young female driver swerved so far into the left-hand side that her tires were on the grass. She struck our client from behind where he was tossed onto the glass then fell onto the pavement. With our help, we were able to track down a ring video of the incident and confirm that the girl was on the wrong side of the road when she struck our client. We recovered the full limits of coverage. , 2018
- $475,000 - Motor Vehicle AccidentOur client, a young PT student studying in Savannah, Georgia, was a front-seat passenger in a ford truck driving near Augusta when an individual turned left in front of the car she was riding in. As a result of the crash, our client's right arm and right pinky were fractured. She needed multiple surgeries to repair the damage to her and also had plates and screws implanted. Liability remained disputed between the two drivers. Our office brough claims against both parties, one for failing to yield and one for driving too fast. As a result, we obtained the full liability coverages from both carries, as well as our clients' full coverage from her underinsured motorist coverage. , 2019
- $450,000 - Motor Vehicle Accident In 2020, our client was a passenger in an Uber when his vehicle was rear-ended by a van. The impact caused serious injuries to his neck, and, after several rounds of treatment through injections, he ultimately underwent a neck surgery. Despite arguments from the defense that his injuries were pre-existing, we were able to prove the need for the neck surgery was caused by the wreck. We recovered the full limits from the driver of the van then proceeded forward with claims against Uber where we were able to resolve the case prior to litigation. , 2021
- $425,000 - Burn Injury In 2018, our client, a welder, was working at a job site re-routing gas pipe lines. The site was controlled as our client continued with his weld when a 3rd party decided to turn the gas on. The result caused the gas pipe to turn into a flame thrower and severally burning our client's face. Liability remained a dispute through litigation, but we were able to successfully resolve the case at mediation. , 2018
- $375,000 - Product LiabilityI represented a client who was on mediation that required strict blood monitoring to determine how thick or thin his blood was. Unfortunately, the product that measured his blood was defective and he was showing readings of "thick" blood and a risk of clotting. As a result of the faulty readings, he was administered several rounds of Lovenox, a blood thinner. This caused his blood to thin so much that he suffered a stroke and a grand-mal seizure. We resolved the case at mediation for $375,000., 2017
- $300,000 - Motor Vehicle Accident Our client, the owner of a bakery store in Woodstock, GA, was a passenger in a vehicle returning from a date-night in Atlanta. As she exited I-575, a driver who was under the influence t-boned the vehicle she was in, flipping it onto it's side. - $250,000 - Motor Vehicle AccidentOur client was driving in traffic in downtown Atlanta when, as traffic slowed, he was rear ended by a F-250 truck.
