Mark A. Casto

Mark A. Casto is a distinguished personal injury attorney and the founder of the Mark Casto Personal Injury Law Firm, based in Columbus, Georgia. He represents individuals and families who have suffered injuries or losses due to car accidents, motorcycle accidents, premises liability and wrongful death, among other cases. His firm serves the Columbus metro area and the entire state of Georgia.

Throughout his career, Mr. Casto has litigated cases not only in Georgia but also in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Texas and New Jersey. His peers have recognized him as one of Georgia’s Elite Lawyers, and the Columbus community has honored him with the Reader’s Choice Award in the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer.

Mr. Casto’s legal career began at the Office of District Attorney, where he prosecuted numerous cases, particularly child victim crimes and served as lead prosecutor in over 50 jury trials in Georgia’s Superior Courts. His early years as a sole practitioner equipped him with substantial experience in representing injured victims and handling complex criminal defense and domestic cases, further honing his trial presentation skills.

In 2006, Mr. Casto co-founded The Law Firm of Bennett and Casto, expanding his practice to include personal injury, workers’ compensation, nursing home neglect and abuse, medical malpractice and employment discrimination claims. Ten years later, he established the Mark Casto Personal Injury Law Firm, dedicated to providing quality client service. Notably, he refrains from suing medical doctors directly, instead targeting hospitals or other negligent parties in medical malpractice cases.

Mr. Casto has also successfully handled numerous appellate cases, arguing before the Georgia Supreme Court and the Georgia Court of Appeals, maintaining an impeccable record in personal appearances before appellate judges. He earned a B.S. in sports management from Western Carolina University and graduated with honors. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law, where he was awarded Best Advocate at the 1996 Academy of Trial Lawyers Moot Court Competition.

Mr. Casto holds bar admissions in Georgia and several U.S. district courts, along with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, the Georgia Supreme Court and the Georgia Court of Appeals. He is an active member of numerous professional associations, including the Chattahoochee Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice and the Columbus Bar Association.
