Attorney Profile

Attorney Peter J. Daughtery founded the law firm of Daughtery Crawford & Brown LLP in 2007 with the goal of protecting the rights of victims of others' negligence in cases involving motor vehicle accidents and product and premises liability. Today, the residents of Columbus and nearby LaGrange, along with those living throughout Muscogee and Troup counties and surrounding west-central Georgia, know to turn to Mr. Daughtery for representation as they pursue compensation for their personal injuries.

Mr. Daughtery, a Georgia native, began practicing law in the state in 1989 after earning his law degree from University of Georgia School of Law and his admission to the State Bar of Georgia. Later that same year, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit also granted him approval to practice in their courtrooms.

Throughout the course of his 25-plus-year legal career, Mr. Daughtery has continuously proved himself to be among the leading trial attorneys in the state, as evidenced by the more than $200 million he recovered for clients during the first 10 years of his career. Today, he continues to fulfill his role as a client advocate, while also devoting a large portion of his time to both volunteer work in his community and pro bono legal work at a number of levels.

Attorney Daughtery served on a special committee that sought to promote ethics in the legal community, and he received a Supreme Court of Georgia appointment to a committee that addressed the practice of law by unauthorized persons. In addition, he has served on the boards of a number of legal and community organizations, including the Georgia Bar Foundation and the Open Door Community House.
