Dana B. Miles

Dana B. Miles is a founding partner of Miles Hansford LLC, located in Cumming, Georgia. Representing clients throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area, his practice of law is divided between civil litigation with an emphasis on business disputes, and government relations matters such as zoning and land use.

As an undergraduate, Mr. Miles received his Bachelor of Arts in economics from Emory University in Atlanta in 1977. He then went on to attend the University of Georgia School of Law, and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1980. Admitted to practice in Georgia, Mr. Miles is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Districts Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.

Mr. Miles currently serves as the city attorney for both Dawsonville and Cumming, Georgia. His government relations and corporate business practice also has a focus in real estate and zoning law issues. He previously served as the chairman of the Forsyth County Zoning Board of Appeals and has a keen understanding of zoning ordinances, variances and other related issues.

Dedicated to furthering the legal profession, Mr. Miles has played active roles in several professional organizations throughout his career. A member of the State Bar of Georgia, he has also previously served as the president of its Young Lawyers Division. Mr. Miles is also a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. Active in his community as well, he is the former president of the Rotary Club of Forsyth County and helped to found Leadership Forsyth. Mr. Miles is also a former chairman of the board of the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce.
