Brittany D. Hepner

Brittany D. Hepner is a dynamic force in the litigation team at The Minor Firm in Dalton, Georgia. Her legal prowess spans insurance defense, medical malpractice defense, general civil litigation and business litigation. Her clientele is diverse, ranging from physicians, advanced practice providers and medical practices to hospitals, long-term care facilities, commercial vehicle insurers and a national casualty insurance carrier.

Ms. Hepner’s journey in health care law is marked by her involvement in litigation, risk management, medical staff issues and representing providers before the Georgia Composite Medical Board and Georgia Board of Nursing. Her track record in insurance defense includes tackling cases involving general negligence, premises liability, dog-bite incidents and nuisance claims.

Hailing from Northwest Georgia, Ms. Hepner is an alumna of Mercer University, where she graduated summa cum laude from the Mercer University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in 2012. She further honed her legal acumen at Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law, earning her J.D. magna cum laude in 2015. 

During law school, Ms. Hepner was a distinguished member of The Order of the Barristers and the Brainerd Currie Honor Society. She also contributed to the Mercer Law Review and served on the executive board of the Mercer Advocacy Council for the 2014-2015 term. She has been a licensed attorney in Georgia since 2015.

Upon receiving her law degree, Ms. Hepner returned to her roots in Northwest Georgia to clerk for the Honorable M. Cindy Morris of the Conasauga Judicial Circuit. She became a valued member of The Minor Firm in 2016. Her leadership potential was recognized early on, as evidenced by her graduation from the Emerging Leaders Institute in 2017 and Leadership Dalton in 2018. She proudly holds affiliations in the State Bar of Georgia and the Conasauga Bar Association.
